jimmy page is one rock guitarist that uses his pinky a lot- try playing stairway to heaven solo without it

The reason he doesn’t use much pinky is because he can reach with the third finger. Look how long it is.

in live shows ppl prefer not to use the pinky soo much …………

not using the pinky is a sign that the guitarrist is has weak/incomplete technique.

I agree with your point of view, SandWraith123.

  17. petelebu on Thu, 2nd Jul 2009 12:08 pm

the bending thing is wrong, you have to practice how to bend with your pinky alone.

i think your right, but i do think that using your pinky can help you further along the way when your playing more difficult and technical pieces, such as stretching across 5 to 7 frets or tapping

    exactly

Im really sorry guys, he is right. Thanks for the help, and now i understand why its minor. It all depends what tone you start :D like you can play a major in second fret to fifth on the low e. Thats how i get it.

  25. IVELREKRAM on Thu, 2nd Jul 2009 12:08 pm

its based on the sixth tone of the major scale, which is a minor tone.
